Privacy

What we keep about you, why, and how to make us delete it.

Who we are

ClipMind is a product of Nickburg, the sole proprietorship of Nicky van Wilgenburg (Nick Burg), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 65510879. Nickburg decides what happens with your data. For any privacy question, email hello@clipmind.pro. The other company details are on the terms page.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, the moment you joined, and which of the two forms on the page you used.

We use your email address for one thing: to tell you when your spot opens. We do not send you newsletters. We do not sell your address and we do not give it to anyone else.

We keep the list in a database of Cloudflare, stored in the EU. Your address stays on the list until ClipMind opens to you, or until you ask us to remove it.

Joining is your choice. You give your consent when you join, and you can take it back at any moment: email hello@clipmind.pro and we remove your address.

To stop people from flooding the form, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for at most two hours. After that it is deleted.

This website

This website sets no cookies and has no trackers. Its fonts and images come from our own server.

To know how many people visit, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits and which pages are opened, without cookies and without following you to other websites. It does not store your IP address.

Cloudflare hosts the website. Like every host, it sees your IP address when it sends you a page, and it uses it to block attacks.

The web app

Testers use ClipMind at app.clipmind.pro. There we keep your email address and your sign-in data, the stream links you submit for analysis, the analyses ClipMind makes from them (such as chapters, highlights and transcripts), and records of what you used and what it cost.

In the web app we also record how you use it: your clicks, the parts you open, errors, whether an analysis or a download worked, and a replay of your session in the app. Anything you type is hidden in these replays, and email addresses are starred out. Only the ClipMind tab is recorded, never other tabs, your screen, your microphone or your camera.

The web app keeps your sign-in in your browser. PostHog keeps an identifier in a cookie and in your browser's storage, so the clicks of one visit belong together.

People in the streams

To analyze a stream, the web app reads what is public in it: what the streamer says, and the chat messages with the names of the people who wrote them. We use them only to make the analysis for the person who submitted the stream, and they are deleted together with that analysis. If you wrote in a chat and want your messages taken out of an analysis, email hello@clipmind.pro.

Why we are allowed to use your data

• The waitlist: your consent.
• Your web app account, your analyses and your billing: to deliver the service you asked for.
• Security, fixing errors, and the recordings of how the web app is used: our legitimate interest in a service that works, is safe and gets better.
• Streams and chat messages: the legitimate interest of the person who asked for the analysis, and ours in delivering it. This content is already public on the streaming platform.
• Records the law tells us to keep, for example for taxes: that legal obligation.

Who else processes your data

We use a small set of outside services. Each one only sees what it needs to do its job.

• Cloudflare: hosts this website and the waitlist, and runs parts of the web app (Workers, Workers AI, R2, tunnel), including your clips and media.
• Google: Google Workspace handles our email. In the web app, the Gemini API reads your stream's transcript to make the analysis.
• Supabase: holds the web app's account database, your sign-in and billing records.
• Resend: sends account email from the web app, such as sign-in codes.
• PostHog (EU cloud, Frankfurt): records how you use the web app, as described above, linked to your account.
• Hetzner: hosts the server the web app's analysis runs on.
• Link and Stripe: Link, the checkout service of Stripe (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company), is the Merchant of Record for our plans and extra hours. When you buy, Link receives your name, email address, payment details and billing address, and handles them under its own Privacy Policy. Link shares the order with us, including your contact details, billing address, tax ID if you give one, and the last four digits of your card. We never see your full card number. Stripe also runs the page where you manage your plan and see your invoices.

Some of these companies also work outside the EU/EEA. Where your data leaves the EU/EEA, we rely on the standard safeguards these companies offer for such transfers.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist: until ClipMind opens to you, or until you ask us to remove you.
• Scrambled IP addresses from the waitlist form: at most two hours.
• Analyses and media on the web app's server, including the stream and chat content in them: 30 days after your last visit.
• Session replays of the web app: one month.
• Usage records of the web app: up to one year.
• Web app account data: until you ask us to delete it.
• Records the law tells us to keep: as long as that law requires.

How we protect it

Every connection to ClipMind is encrypted (HTTPS). Only ClipMind itself can open the waitlist and the account data. The services above protect their systems with their own security measures.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold on you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit what we do with it, to get it in a file you can take elsewhere, and to object to how we use it. You can take back your consent at any moment. Email hello@clipmind.pro and we answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

No automated decisions about you

ClipMind's AI picks moments in streams. It does not make decisions about you as a person.

Children

ClipMind is not meant for anyone under 18. Do not make an account or join the waitlist if you are under 18.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
